I have looked at all the plans and to me the main things to consider are the access of town for all of landsborough residents including those on the eastern side of the tracks and even across steve irwin way (hardwood/isambert rds) and that the main township doesnt lose traffic. We dont want the town to be by passed. The less resumptions the better. I dont like moving the traffic near the school, there will be buses and trucks as well as the increased amount of traffic as the area and even the coast traffic accessing the train lines increase.
No 1 seems to be the most viable option to me. It doesnt impact the heritage precinct, traffic will still go through town the only negative is the reduced traffic going past BP. Every other business on the eastern side is only used predominantly by locals or people wishing to access these business will do so, not passing traffic. If as I believe from the meeting the crossing near the school will remain then locals will use this to travel from east to west easily enough. It resumes minimum houses (3 I think)
No 2 has two many sets of lights and resumes more homes. A small new estate has just been established and this appears this will be visible from their brand new homes. I also question how this will affect traffic accessing the caravan park especially larger vehicles and towed vehicles.
No 3 Is similar to 1 except it bypasses the town centre and therefore the businesses.
No 4 It doesnt make sense to have more traffic going past the school and detouring the town centre and therefore the businesses
No 5 as above for No 4
No 6 My concern is flooding. Also the access to town from those on the South of town (hardwood/isambert rds) the plan on your site doesnt show it but at the meeting. It appeared that they would have to go right a fairway up to a roundabout and then all they way up to the roundabout at the corner of Old Gympie rd to access the town centre. It just doesnt make sense and I for one would probably just bypass landsborough and go to beerwah which isnt great for the business in town
No 7 I think this will be cost prohibitive but also ugly for an historical town.
No 8 Isnt too bad its hard to tell but it looks like BP might be resumed and a few homes including the courthouse which I thought was historical
No 9 Way too many homes would need to be resumed for this and it appears the exit off the ramp is past the centre of town and therefore traffic will bypass the cafes etc
No 10 as above for no 9.
This decision will hugely impact the town and the businesses in the town.
