What is Stage 2 of the project?

Can you please provide information on the Second stage and proposed dates?

I am particularly interested in knowing the current situation with proposals and timings for the construction north of Mooloolah Station.

B2N Community Engagement Team                     Replied There is currently no allocated funding for Stage 2. Completion of these activities is reliant on a future funding agreement being negotiated by the Queensland Government and the Australian Government. If funded, Stage 2 of the project will include: Track duplication between Beerwah and Landsborough; Extension of existing passing loops at Landsborough, Eudlo and Woombye stations to allow increased freight capacity; Expansion of park ‘n’ ride facilities at Beerburrum, Landsborough, Palmwoods and Nambour stations to meet passenger demand projections; Duplication of platforms and station upgrades at Mooloolah, Eudlo, Palmwoods and Woombye stations to improve rail operations and passenger access; Replacement of the Caloundra Street level crossing in Landsborough with a road-over-rail solution; Re-signalling of the corridor from Landsborough to Nambour stations; Relocation of utilities such as Unity Water, Energex, Telstra and NBN services.
